Zuni Indian Art

The Native American Indian
Zuni art have devised styles
and design motifs based on
natural forms. This has given
rise to some of the most
popular types of Indian pottery
and sculpture available today,
from carved stone shapes on
necklaces to colorful
representations of animals,
representations of animals, birds,
plants and Native American
Indian dancers.

Zuni depictions of rainbow and
knife-wing deities were popular
by the 1940s, and these figures
were followed by recreations of
Native American figure carvings
of kachinas, sun faces,
skysnakes,owls and Indian spirit
figures.
